It is this, coupled with a highly skilled workforce and the latest CNC machinery, CadCam and Design software, which ensure the high quality products and service for which the company has become known.
With a diverse CNC machining capacity, up to 1200mm diameter, Silverthorne Engineering is able to produce tooling to suit mills of all sizes. From leveller entry rolls through forming, sizing, turks head and shaping rolls, to straightening rolls and ancillary mill equipment.
A full design capability with the use of COPRA design and AutoCAD drafting software, which link seamlessly with the CadCam software ensures a continuous production process.
Using only top quality material from reputable suppliers and recognised heat treatment companies, this only adds to the quality of the finished product.
Silverthorne Engineering also offers an efficient refurbishment service, where mill flexibility allows, rolls can be re-profiled in order to maintain tube size and/or shape.
