Stretch Reducing Rolls
Stretch reducing rolls are produced by Silverthorne Engineering primarily using centrifugal/static casting processes. By combining the various materials consisting of chilled cast iron, nodular iron, indefinite and grey iron, and by controlling the chemical constituents, the finished product can be tailored to suit the required hardness, wear resistance and toughness.

Silverthorne Engineering has experience in producing stretch reducing rolls for round, square, rectangular and elliptical sections. In sizes ranging from 12mm diameter to 500 x 250mm elliptical. Continuous investment in the latest CNC machinery ensures that both large and small batches can be produced efficiently and economically.
